Description
I first went to Bermuda in 1967 and have visited friends and family there every few years. The way the typical Bermudian Businessman dressed for the office intrigued me. With its hot, humid, summer climate, for much of the year, the shorts make great sense. They are a civilian adaptation to British army tropical dress. Bermuda is still a British crown colony. If they want to look more formal they would wear this attire with a brightly colored blazer. This individual probably has a navy blue one back at the office. As one of the major reinsurance centers in the world, Bermuda is full of lawyers, accountants, actuaries and analysts. Of all the many islands I have visited, it is the most beautiful. The population takes great pride in their gardens and their houses. The government passed laws that give the whole island a unified pleasing appearance e.g. no billboards, no neon signs, etc. etc.
