Description
I had always wanted to go to Saba. It is a small island close to St. Martin in the Eastern Caribbean. I had read how its cliffs soar out of the ocean for hundreds of feet and they had to almost chisel out a road way in the cliff side to reach the single dock. It was not a disappointment.

I have been to Saba many times. That picture looks like it was taken before captains quarters was destroyed by the hurricane. It could be that there was a path from the museum over to that spot back then.

Hi Susan: I took this picture many years ago. From what I can remember there was a small museum in Saba and I think I came out of it and took the photograph close to it. I had read about and wanted to go to Saba for years. It is not easy to get to. From St kitts, where I spend the winters, I could see Saba on the horizon, So close yet so far. Finally I go there from Saint Martin. It is unique, It did not disappoint me.
